Our History
The Alberta Society of Melanoma was founded in 1995 by Dr. T.G. Salopek - a Dermatologist at the University of Alberta Hospital - and a group of concerned patients and their families.
The group felt it was important to inform the public about Melanoma.
Our Goals
To better educate the general public about Melanoma, through our website, information packages, speakers and meetings.
To reflect a positive attitude and provide a support network for patients with Melanoma.
